In the Holy See Press Office's daily bulletin, Pope Leo XIV announces the appointment of Patrick E. Kelly, Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus, as a member of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life. Kelly has led the Catholic lay fraternal order since 2021; the order has long been bound to the Holy See by ties of loyalty and filial affection and is committed to the material and spiritual welfare of its members and to promoting the Church's mission. The Pope had already received him in a private audience in October 2025.
