📍 Place de la Concorde and Champs-Élysées, Paris, France
In the afternoon of the second day of the apostolic journey to France, Pope Leo XIV presides over a large open-air Holy Mass at Place de la Concorde, along the Champs-Élysées, with a crowd estimated at between 700,000 and 800,000 people — the first time a Pope has celebrated the Eucharist in this square. In the homily, centered on the living water of John's Gospel, the Pontiff recalls that "none of us is merely a number in a register" and invokes the intercession of the saints of France, from Blandina to Vincent de Paul, that "springs of living water may well up within the People of God."
