On October 19 the Holy See Press Office confirmed that Pope Leo XIV will hold the weekly General Audience on Wednesday, October 21 in Saint Peter's Square. It will be the first General Audience since the October 13 surgery at the Gemelli Hospital to remove the lower lobe of the right lung (adenocarcinoma), following his discharge on October 17 and the Angelus of October 18 from the window of the Apostolic Palace. No further details have been released, such as whether the Pope will make his customary popemobile tour among the faithful.
