On the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the day after the Holy Mass celebrated in Genazzano at the Shrine of the Mother of Good Counsel, Pope Leo XIV has no public audiences or official liturgical celebrations on his calendar. The schedule of celebrations presided over by the Holy Father for September and October 2026, released by the Office of the Papal Liturgical Celebrations, lists no engagements for Tuesday. The Pope continues his ordinary work of governing the Church in the offices of the Roman Curia, with the customary private audiences for bishops and heads of Dicasteries. The next public appointment on the agenda is the General Audience on Wednesday 9 September in St Peter's Square.
