On Saturday Pope Leo XIV has no public liturgical celebrations scheduled. Besides the audiences with the participants in the «Fratelli tutti» Synodal Meeting and the Symposium of the Communio Internationalis Benedictinarum, the Pontiff continues the ordinary governance of the Church, with the customary private audiences for prelates and heads of Dicasteries and the signing of appointments and measures released by the Press Office Bulletin. Among these, the Bulletin discloses the letter, dated 8 August, by which the Pope appointed Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod, as his Special Envoy to the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the canonical erection of the Diocese of Spiš (Slovakia), scheduled for Saturday 26 September at the Cathedral of Saint Martin in Spišská Kapitula; in the letter the Pope asks the Envoy to exhort participants to "keep hope alive, with renewed strength and new enthusiasm." The next public engagement is the Angelus on Sunday 13 September in St. Peter's Square; it will be followed, on Monday 14 September, his 71st birthday, by the visit to the Vatican Apostolic Library for the opening of the «AQVA» exhibition.
