Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, the Pope authorised the promulgation of decrees on the heroic virtues of six Servants of God: Salesian Oreste Marengo, missionary bishop in India (1906-1998); Friedrich Kaiser Depel, first Prelate of Caravelí in Peru (1903-1993); Fr Domenico Pogliani, founder of the Holy Family Institute (1838-1921); Fr Alessandro Vitetti (1915-1995); Capuchin Br Daniele of San Giovanni Rotondo (1919-1994); and Margarita "Luminosa" Bavosi, a consecrated member of the Focolare (1941-1985). In the morning the Pope also received Archbishop Filippo Iannone, Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops.
